April 11, 2023: The Draft Plan was presented to the City Council and adopted.
March 28, 2023: The Draft Plan was presented to the Planning Commission for consideration. A public hearing was also held for the plan at the same meeting. After some discussion, the Planning Commission voted to recommend the plan for adoption. January 5, 2023: A public open house to review the Draft Plan will be held at City Hall from February 14-16. Residents are encouraged to view the exhibit and submit comments during regular business hours from 8am-4:30pm or attend the open house event on February 16th from 5-7pm. The Planning Team will be available at the open house event to answer questions. October 6, 2022: A Draft Plan has been completed and is currently under review by City Staff. The City determined that an additional chapter regarding Water Conservation should be added to the plan to comply with recent State legislation. A public open house for the plan will be held in the New Year. May 31, 2022: The preferred alternative scenarios were presented to the City Council and Planning Commission in a joint meeting. The group offered comments for revisions to be made to the plan. Over the next few weeks, the Draft General Plan will be developed incorporating this feedback. Once complete, the Draft Plan will be made available to the public for comment at an Open House. March 16, 2022: A Public Workshop was held at City Hall from 5-7pm in an open house format. Visitors were presented with several alternative scenarios and future ideas for land use and transportation issues in Fruit Heights, and given the opportunity to submit comments and indicate which ideas they preferred over others. February 14, 2022: The planning team is currently developing alternative concepts for Fruit Heights' future, which will be available for public review at the Public Workshop on March 16th (See the Public Meetings tab). January 10, 2022: The second Advisory Committee meeting was held on December 15th. The planning teams is working on analyzing public input and existing conditions, as they will soon start to develop alternative concepts for Fruit Heights' future. December 7, 2021: A Public Open House was held on November 18th and an online public engagement effort launched (see the Public Engagement tab). The planning team is currently conducting research and analyzing existing conditions in Fruit Heights. October 29, 2021: The planning Team met with the Advisory Committee to introduce the planning process. Notes from this meeting can be found in the Plan Advisory Committee tab. They are currently preparing for the Public Open House on November 18th (See the Public Meetings tab). |
